THE BEST THINGS ABOUT SRC - Thanks to Bowen Craft of the ISS Division for producing this video as well as all of the individuals who took part. The video was developed for our 20th Anniversary celebration and was shown during the Opening event for the new Charleston facility.


SRC AWARDED CONTRACT TO SUPPORT U.S. AIR FORCE MATERIEL COMMAND - Todd Marek, Senior Vice President of the CNE Division, recently announced that SRC has received a contract award as a prime contractor in the $6.9 Billion Future Flexible Acquisition and Sustainment Tool (F2AST) program to support U.S. Air Force weapon systems. The program will include development, modifications, depot maintenance, spare parts, and repairs on dozens of Air Force platforms, support systems, subsystems, and components. The SRC F2AST team in Warner Robins will rely on the proven experience and expertise of all three SRC divisions and an extensive team of subcontractors in executing the requirements of the contract. JAMES WARD RECEIVES NAVY DISTINGUISHED CIVILIAN AWARD - Congratulations to ISS Division Senior Vice President James Ward, who recently received the Department of the Navy Distinguished Civilian Service Award (DCSA). The Secretary of the Navy, Donald C. Winter, presented the award to Mr. Ward in recognition and appreciation of his distinguished service to the Navy. The DCSA is the highest honorary award the Secretary of the Navy can confer on a Department of the Navy civilian employee. The DCSA is granted only to employees who have given distinguished and/or extraordinary service to the Department of the Navy.


SRC 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION - Michael Watt, SRC's President & Chief Executive Officer recently announced the initiation of several activities to celebrate SRC's 20th Anniversary, including two awards that will recognize employee excellence as well as a competition to replace the current SRC tagline of "Research and Engineering Excellence." SRC WINS $211M CONTRACT - SRC's ISS Division recently won a a new five-year, $211M contract entitled Information Warfare Technical Development, Demonstration, and Applications (IWTDDA) that will support the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston. This contract will support information warfare exploitation and threat warning systems in the areas of concept and technology development and demonstration services as well as manufacturing development, prototyping, and life-cycle planning services. SRC ENGINEER TO START LOCAL CHAPTER OF SWE - ISS Division Engineer, Jennifer Branton, is in the process of launching a Low Country chapter of the Society for Women Engineers (SWE). The SWE, founded in 1950, is a not-for-profit educational and service organization. SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women. The organization empowers women to succeed, advance, and be recognized for their contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders. Good luck to Jennifer in this important endeavor!


SRC WINS NEW CONTRACT - Tim Washington, Executive Vice President for Operations, recently announced that the ISS Division has won a a new five-year, $165M contract entitled Software Defined Radio (SDR) Engineering that will support the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Charleston. This contract will not only put the company in the leading edge of working software defined radios, it allows SRC to support many legacy programs including Navy Messaging, Automated Digital Network System, and many others.


MICHAEL WATT INDUCTED INTO THOMAS GREEN CLEMSON ACADEMY - SRC's President & CEO was recently inducted into Clemson University's prestigious Thomas Green Clemson Academy of Engineers and Scientists. At the 13th annual Engineering and Science Banquet, the Academy recognized Michael Watt for his outstanding career success, contributions to community, and notable contributions to engineering and science.
